Silver has been used to treat medical ailments for over 100 years due to its natural antibacterial and antifungal properties. Nano silver range in size from 1 to 100 nm. They have a relatively large surface area, increase the possibility of contact with bacteria or fungi, and greatly improve its bactericidal and fungicidal effect.

Antibacterial ability is recorded against some dangerous species such as: Gram-negative bacteria including genera of:

  • Acinetobacter (Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae causing pleurisy, Acinetobacter baumannii causing meningitis, bacteremia, pneumonia can be resistant to many antibiotics …)
  • Escherichia (Escherichia Coli or E.coli is a bacteria that causes head edema (swollen eyes, swollen forehead), diarrhea)
  • Pseudomonas (Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria that cause blood infections, respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, pneumonia ..)
  • Salmonella (Salmonella choleraesuis and Salmonella typhisuis cause paratyphoid with fecal symptoms such as goat feces in the last stage of diarrhea)
  • Vibrio (alginolyticus; V. anguillarum; V. ordalii; V. salmonicida, V. parahaemolyticus, V. harvey, V. vulnificus) causes blood infection, red body in shrimp and fish. cholera in pigs)

while gram-positive bacteria include genera such as:

  • Clostridium (Clostridium perfringens causes enteritis, enterotoxins cause bleeding and then death)
  • Enterococcus (Enterococcus faecalis and  faecium causes a wide range of infections, including endocarditis, urinary tract infections, prostatitis, intra-abdominal infections, cellulitis, and surgical site infections as well as blood infection.
  • Listeria (Listeria monocytogenes bacteria cause sepsis, digestive, absorption disorders, or cause meningitis, encephalitis)
  • Staphylococcus (Staphylococcus hyicus, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus saprophyticus causing dermatitis in pigs)
  • Streptococcus (Streptococcus bacteria cause meningitis to bacteremia, polyserumitis, arthritis, endocarditis, pneumonia)

Ability to kill or inhibit some viruses:

  • Porcine diarrhea virus (PEDV),
  • Gastrointestinal-transmitted gastritis virus (TGEV),
  • Arterivirus causes blue ear disease in pigs,
  • Viruses of the family Asfarviridae cause African swine fever,
  • WSSV virus causes white spots on shrimp
  • Hepatitis B virus, Hepatitis C virus, HIV virus

Nano silver is an effective and rapid agent against many common fungi, including genera such as Aspergillus, Candida and Saccharomyces.

  1. Mechanism of killing bacteria and viruses:

Bactericidal mechanism: When exposed to bacteria and fungi, nano silver affects cell metabolism and inhibits cell growth. Nanosilver inhibits respiration, the basic metabolism of the electron transport system and the transport of substrates in the cell membrane of microorganisms. Nano silver inhibits the multiplication and growth of bacteria and fungi that cause infections, odors, itching and sores.

Virus killing mechanism: the antiviral activity of the nanoparticle derives from its ability to bind to the glycoprotein of the viral envelope and inhibit the virus by binding to the disulfide-binding regions of the virus. Besides immediate interaction with viral surface glycoproteins, AgNPs can also enter cells and complete their antiviral activity through interaction with viral nucleic acids. Furthermore, it has also been suggested that silver nanoparticles can also inhibit the production of viral RNA and extracellular virions in vitro. And it is generally understood that Ag, in various forms, inactivates viruses by denaturing the enzyme through reactions with sulfhydra, amino, carboxyl, phosphate and imidazole groups.



    • Disinfect the house

Indoor air always contains some bacteria, viruses and molds that cause disease and cause unpleasant odors, especially families with young children or elderly people with weak immune systems.

To handle the above problem, usually families use air purifiers, vacuum cleaners and regular cleaning. However, none of the above measures can completely solve the problem. Bacteria and fungi from floors, ceilings, curtains, carpets… are sources of bacteria and fungi, especially in the rainy and wet seasons.

Nano silver is known as a broad-spectrum bactericide, virus and fungus, widely applied in many fields. Nano silver is odorless, tasteless, safe for humans.


Take 100 ml of 1000 ppm nano silver mixed with 10 liters of clean water and stir until the nano is completely dissolved to obtain a lemon yellow solution. Put in a spray bottle and spray around the house, especially the toilet area, kitchen, foot mat, warehouse…

  • Disinfect swimming pool water

Pool water is recirculated to remove suspended solids. However, under the sun, the growth rate of blue-green algae is very fast and dirty the lake water. The water environment also creates conditions for many other bacteria to grow, causing skin diseases for users. To overcome the problem, people often use Chlorin or TCCA to periodically disinfect.

Chlorin and TCCA are easily volatilized when exposed to sunlight, so the effect does not last long. In addition, the high chlorine content in the water also irritates the eyes and causes itching, the pool water also has a very unpleasant chlorine smell.

Nano silver is approved by WHO to disinfect drinking water at a concentration of 100 micrograms/L (100,000 ppm). Therefore, it is possible to use nano silver to replace Chlorin, TCCA in swimming pool water disinfection

To periodically disinfect swimming pool water, only a very small amount of nano silver is needed, about 0.1 ppm.

How to use:

1 liter of 1000 ppm nano silver is diluted with 20 liters of water and sprinkled evenly for 10 m3 of pool water.

Disinfect periodically every 7-10 days.
